Home Tests to Check for Potential Nerve Interference
To enjoy optimal physical and emotional performance, every part of our nervous system needs to be functioning in sync.The communication link between the brain and the body must not have any interruption in order to perform correctly and efficiently.
Imagine the cellular connection on your cellphone; you know, those four bars at the top of our phones. If you have four full bars of connection your phone can perform like it was designed to. If the connection becomes interrupted for any reason (maybe you are in an elevator, in the basement, or somewhere remote) you may see your connection decrease to only one or two bars. Your phone’s processing slows down as it downloads and interprets the tasks being asked of it.
It still works but not nearly as fast or effectively as with three or four bars. Just as your phone needs a strong, consistent connection to a cell tower your body needs a clear nerve supply so the brain can communicate with the body and vice versa. Poor posture can interrupt this nerve pathway just like concrete walls can decrease your cell service.
If there is interference with your nervous system you may experience a variety of responses including pain, stiffness, reduced immune response, or decreased respiratory or cardiac performance.
The most common form of nerve interference are vertebral subluxations, which are small displacements of the bones in your spine. Nerves branching off the spinal cord from the brain pass through small openings between these bones, which flow to the whole body. When the bones are out of their normal position (vertebral subluxation) the flow of nerve energy is disrupted.

For these tests, you will need to stand in front of a mirror or have someone examine you.
*Please do not attempt to correct your posture, just examine it.
TEST 1: Ears – Draw an imaginary line horizontally through the bottom of your ears. If your ears are not even you may have a vertebral subluxation in your neck.
TEST 2: Shoulders – Draw an imaginary line horizontally across the top of your shoulders. If one is lower than the other your spine is out of balance.
TEST 3: Hips – Draw an imaginary line horizontally across the top of your hips. If one is lower than the other your spine is out of equilibrium.
TEST 4: Standing straight–standing shoulder width apart draw an imaginary line from half way between your feet through the centre of your pelvis. Have this line extend straight up through your head. If your head is off to the right or left of this line your spine is out of balance.
TEST 5: Head Posture – Draw an imaginary line from the middle of your ear to your shoulder. If your head is not lined up directly above your shoulders this may be due to anterior head syndrome. This can result in many secondary conditions such as muscle spasm, accelerated spinal degeneration, and/or nerve interference.
